We're a Canadian family of five, farming and home schooling. I'm nowhere near as regular a blogger as I used to be, and tend not to blog as much about our home schooling efforts as I used to.

Hi Becky,

Hope things are going well there with your hoophouse and your kitchen, and that these things are helping to heal while they are occupying your time and energy.

I just had to write and say “thank you” for introducing me to “Swallows and Amazons”. The kids and I just loved it, and “Swallowdale” has just come in from the library. I wasn’t familiar with this series when I was a kid, so thanks again!

Have you read Edgar Eager’s “Half Magic”? We discovered it by chance at the library, and through it decided to try E. Nesbit’s “The Enchanted Castle”, which was fabulous.

Yes, we love Ed(ward!) Eager and E. Nesbit books — it’s that Farm School Anglo mania, and the Brits do seem to have a lock on much of the golden age of children’s literature!
